Welcome to Info System Reality Check, a tool that enables leaders of organizations to evaluate their information systems.
 
Leaders of organizations have dozens of responsibilities. Information systems are necessary to provide information for decision making. These information systems consist of the Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology departments in the organization.
 
Info System Reality Check is just what its name implies, a reality check of the organization's information system. Info System Reality Check utilizes three progressive reality checks to assist leaders who want to improve their information systems. These reality checks are:
    Reality Check 1:    The one question survey. Very easy! (see below).
    Reality Check 2:    The six question survey. This survey computes your Information System Value, a general measurement of your organization's information system. The results of this survey will help you determine if the Live Info System Reality Check will be advantageous to your organization.
    Reality Check 3:    The Live Info System Reality Check. A live one-day event at your organization which includes surveys, exercises, and discussions with the leader of the organization, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Chief Information Officer. The purpose of the Live Info System Reality Check is to cover the steps necessary to get the owners of the information system working toward the goal of supplying the information to leadership that it needs to run the organization successfully.
 
These three steps comprise Info System Reality Check, a tool to evaluate the organization's information system and make the appropriate changes so the leader of the organization can get the information he or she needs to run the organization successfully. To start the process, simply answer the question in Reality Check 1.

About Info System Reality Check:
Info System Reality Check was created by Mark J. Weisberger, a CPA/MBA with twenty years of experience in Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology. In large organizations, the volume of responsibilities put upon information providers can pull them in many directions. If the information providers have been pulled so far that they lose track of their fundamental purpose in the organization, the organization will suffer because the information necessary to operate the organization successfully will not be delivered to leadership. Info System Reality Check identifies the problems in the organization's information system and provides the solutions necessary to get the information system back on track.
